So...I was really excited to finally have a portfolio site out there for the world to see, I even found a beautiful online portfolio-gallery-builder that works like a .swf file that you simply place into your index page. Well, needless to say there's some sort of miscommunication between GoDaddy (the host) and Google (the domain owner). Unfortunately, Google doesn't allow for any free/open source coding or ftp control, in regards to my domain. The worst part, this online portfolio-gallery-builder requires all the MySQL database information, which for some reason GoDaddy can not obtain from Google (even though I paid for a domain transfer on Monday, Nov. 27th). I feel like I spent my entire weekend in New York on the phone with either GoDaddy or Google customer service to no avail...
*Update: apparently I'm locked into a contract with Google until February 19, 2009. Not until then will I be able to transfer my domain or have any creative control beyond the dozen awful template layouts offered...i repeat awful. I'm beyond frustrated at this point! I'll keep you posted with any further progress.
